16/02/2017: Changes to prescription service
As from the 1st April 2017 we will no longer be taking requests for prescriptions over the telephone. This will hopefully reduce errors, improve safety and allow delivery of a more efficient service. Very few practices still offer this facility and concerns regarding our continued use of telephone ordering were raised by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), at our last inspection.
We appreciate this might cause alarm among some of you, but please be assured we have done all we can to support other ways of ordering. These include:
- Signing up to our online services (please enquire at our reception or click on the booking appointment/repeat prescription links on the left of this page).
- Via email - simply email us at email@example.com
- By post.
- Filling in a prescription request form and placing it into our prescription request box at reception.
- By ordering through your chosen pharmacy.
If there are medications on your repeat slip which you are no longer using, please let either ourselves or your pharmacist know. We can then remove them from your records and reduce errors and reduce waste.
