These are offered by the Practice Nurses, Dr Sally Sheppard or Dr. Rebecca Heslop on appointment. The test involves the painless sampling of cells from the neck of the womb to detect changes that occur before cancer develops. We recommend 3-yearly checks for women between 25-50 years of age and 5-yearly checks for women between 50-65.
